Coastal Disaster Risk Profile and Adaptation Recommendations Considering Climate Change Scenarios for Belize
The 3rd Workshop is an essential component of the project entitled Coastal Disaster Risk Profile and Adaptation Recommendations Considering Climate Change Scenarios for Belize. This project covers the assessments of hazards, exposures, vulnerabilities and identification of high-risk-hotspots, in a first stage of the project (download Risk Profile Report by clicking HERE), as well as recommendation of, mainly nature-based, solutions to address natural hazards at selected priority hotspots, in a second stage.
This Workshop focuses on this second stage and aims:
- to present the catalogue of Risk Reduction Measures (RRM);
- to collect local feed-back to inform the catalogue;
- to present the preliminary proposal of RRM in selected Priority Hotspots (PHS);
- to validate with stakeholders this preliminary proposal.
This on-line consultation is designed to channel data collection (point 2 above) and proposal validation (point 4). The catalogue of RRM (point 1) and the preliminary proposal of RRM in PHS (point 3) are described in the annexed document: Preliminary Proposal of Risk Reduction Measures in Priority Hotspots (Download it by clicking HERE)
